Annually, every Holy Trinity household receives the state of the financial condition of the parish. We continue to be fiscally responsible but we need to be mindful of the increased costs associated with the expenses of our parish. Please know the importance of your tithing and how this affects the planning for a balanced budget each year. Each Holy Trinity household is invited to participate in our annual Tithing Commitment Campaign which typically occurs each fall. Further information is provided for you on stress-free options for handling your sacrificial giving to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Thank you for being a part of our parish family!
What is ACH? We encourage Holy Trinity parishioners to give prayerful consideration for paying their tithes through Automated Clearing House (ACH) debits. The tithing payments you initiate and authorize are sent through the ACH network. The ACH is the central clearing facility which receives electronic payments from banks, distributes funds among banks and settles transactions. The ACH is maintained by the United States Federal Reserve.
What about security? The program used by Holy Trinity to facilitate ACH transactions provides a high level of security for storing transaction data and limiting each user’s capabilities.
How often can I make a direct tithe payment through an ACH debit? You may authorize the direct payment of your tithe in one of three different ways: 5th of the month (once a month); 20th of the month
(once a month); or 5th and 20th of the month (same amount two times a month).
What if I need to stop the automatic withdrawal? How long does it take? Termination of your ACH debit can occur at any time. However, transactions are sent two to four days ahead of the actual withdrawal date so some lead time is required. An ACH form and the pledge card are included in this packet for your convenience.
What is Internet Bill Pay? Internet Bill Pay allows you to make payments on-line through your bank account. If you are interested in paying your tithing at Holy Trinity through Internet Bill Pay, contact your bank and see if this is an option and obtain assistance for enrollment. To set-up your Internet Bill Pay for Holy Trinity, all you need is the mailing address and your envelope number which will act as your account number. Unlike an automatic payment from your account, Internet Bill Pay is scheduled to be paid by you, on the date you determine. Most bills are then typically paid in two to four business days – so allow enough lead time in the payment date you determine to accommodate this time line. At this time, Holy Trinity is not set-up to accept electronic checks or on-line donations. However, after you schedule the Internet Bill Pay, a check will be mailed to Holy Trinity, on your behalf, on the date specified by you.
